Some conversations stay with you. Meeting Aditya Kashyap sir, Co-Founder & Managing Director of cinedubs, at the India AI Impact Summit 2026 was one such moment.
But the real learning didn’t just happen inside the summit halls.
It happened earlier — on a road trip to an All India Management Association (AIMA) event.
Somewhere between long highway stretches and deep conversations, I had the pleasure of listening to Aditya Kashyap sir’s journey unfold.
From his early days in aviation operations… to managing global portfolios across telecom, banking, healthcare and customer experience… to scaling Majorel India from 700 to 1700+ employees and turning a negative EBIT into profitability… and then choosing to build something entirely new.
That “something new” became cinedubs.
The idea was born from a personal experience — being unable to watch a movie abroad because it was only available in a language he didn’t understand.
Instead of accepting the barrier, he chose to break it.
cinedubs allows cinegoers to watch films in their preferred language — even if the movie playing on screen is in another language.
Using patent-pending audio synchronization technology, the app listens to the theatre’s audio for a few seconds and perfectly syncs a downloaded track in the user’s chosen language.
No integration with theatre systems.
No heavy distribution costs.
Just elegant technology solving a real human problem.
The first film onboarded was Rocketry: The Nambi Effect.
Today, the platform has crossed 350,000+ users.
But what inspired me most wasn’t just the innovation.
It was the intent.
At the summit, our discussion moved beyond language to inclusion — how AI can enable multi-language audio streaming, Audio Description for blind and low-vision audiences, and Closed Captions for deaf and hard-of-hearing viewers.
Cinema that includes.
Stories that everyone can experience.
And then came the most special moment.
Aditya Kashyap sir was kind enough to spare his valuable time and share his invaluable experience with the students of my alma mater, Sainik School Sujanpur Tira, who were among the Top 50 student teams at the summit.
Watching him interact with those young minds — the passion, the rigour, the patience — was truly awe-inspiring.
He didn’t just speak.
He listened.
He guided.
He uplifted.
Innovation builds companies.
But mentorship builds generations.
I left that interaction feeling grateful — for the road trip conversations, for the summit exchange, and for leaders like Aditya Kashyap sir who build with purpose and give back with heart.
