Inspiring MBA Minds at IIFT: Startup & Venture Insights

It was a privilege to deliver a guest lecture for the MBA (International Business) program at the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade on the theme “New Venture Creation & Startups.”

Spending time with bright, curious, and future-ready minds is always energizing.

We explored what it truly takes to build scalable ventures—identifying real market opportunities, navigating early-stage uncertainty, embracing resilience, and making data-driven decisions in an increasingly competitive global landscape.

I also shared lessons from my own entrepreneurial journey with Hyphen SCS—failures, pivots, learnings, and the importance of staying grounded while thinking boldly.

Because startups are not just about ideas; they are about execution, endurance, and belief.

Industry–academia collaborations like these are essential to bridge the gap between classroom theory and real-world business realities.

I hope the discussion encouraged more students to explore entrepreneurship with confidence, curiosity, and courage.
