When I was chosen to represent India and Hyphen SCS at the CSC2023 – The Duke of Edinburgh’s Commonwealth Study Conference – Canada 2023, I published a post featuring the distinguished members of the Indian contingent
One of my juniors from the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade , Shekhar Suman asked me to take a selfie with Harpreet Singh Khandiyal , Head of Production Operations (WPC) at Barclays .
When I asked him that, did he know him?
He said that he doesn’t know him personally, but he was impressed and inspired by his profile and the work he does, and boy, was he right.
Right from his username, i.e. HSK1313 where 13 has a symbolic meaning
The number 13 has special significance in the Sikh religion.
In the Punjabi language, the number 13 is pronounced “Tera” which is also the same word as “Yours”. The Gurus used “Yours” to refer to Waheguru and the Creation that includes us all.
And his interpretation of it was, ” Nothing belongs to me “.
I was impressed and inspired by his eagerness to give more than to receive, his humbleness, and his ability to effortlessly bring people with different viewpoints together.
I felt an instant connection with him, both at a personal and professional level. I am sure that this is just the beginning of a never-ending relationship.
