Ramesh Raskar Sir

It was a privilege for me and Pauneet Nanda to reconnect with Ramesh Raskar Sir at TiE Con East in Boston.

The last time we met was at the Indiaspora Forum for Good in the UAE, where he first introduced me to the idea of decentralized AI and its potential applications in warehousing.

This time, he was kind enough to engage more deeply in our journey at Hyphen SCS, understand our vision, and even express his willingness to guide us in building a next-level warehousing platform powered by AI and proprietary data.

🙏 Thank you very much sir for your generosity, guidance, and support. It means a lot to us and strengthens our resolve to attempt a skip-level evolution in an industry that has been predominantly technology-laggard—warehousing and fulfillment.

For those unfamiliar, Ramesh Raskar sir, is the Associate Director of MIT Media Lab, Associate Professor at MIT, and Director of the Camera Culture Group at MIT Media Lab.

🔬 At MIT, his co-inventions include:
Camera to see around corners, femto-photography, automated machine learning (Auto-ML), private ML (split-learning), low-cost eye care devices (Netra, Catra, EyeSelfie), a novel CAT-Scan machine, motion capture (Prakash), long distance barcodes (Bokode), 3D interaction displays (BiDi screen), ALF models to augment light fields, and HR3D displays.

🌐 At Facebook, he launched and led innovation teams in Digital Health, Health-tech, Satellite Imaging, Connectivity Bandwidth, VR/AR, and the ‘Emerging Worlds’ initiative.

⚡ His current focus: building world-scale interfaces between societal systems and cyber-physical systems, spanning sensors, health-tech, automated ML, geomaps, and autonomous mobility.

With 125+ US patents, multiple global awards (Lemelson Award, ACM SIGGRAPH, Sloan Fellowship, TR100, Global Indus Technovator, DARPA Young Faculty, etc.), and pioneering contributions across health-tech, computer vision, machine learning, and imaging—his work continues to inspire innovators worldwide.

His research has been featured in NYTimes, WSJ, CNN, BBC, NewScientist, MIT Tech Review and more, with keynotes at TED, Wired, TEDMED, Google SolveForX, and several TEDx events.

🚀 His latest pursuit: NANDA – The Internet of AI Agents
👉 Networked AI Agents in Decentralized Architecture
👉 Pioneering the Future of Agentic Web

Imagine billions of specialized AI agents collaborating across a decentralized architecture—communicating, navigating, socializing, learning, earning, and transacting on our behalf.

We are truly grateful to learn from such a visionary. 🙏
