Grateful Reconnection With Mentor Richard Rekhy Sir at Horasis

It was truly special to reconnect with my mentor, Richard Rekhy Sir, Vice Chair at Grant Thornton Bharat LLP, while representing Hyphen SCS at the Horasis India Meeting in Singapore.
I have had the good fortune of learning from Richard Sir through the All India Management Association (AIMA) Young Leaders Council AIMA Mentor–Mentee Connect, and every interaction with him leaves a deep imprint.
What stands out most is not just the scale of his experience, but his willingness to openly share lessons from his biggest failures—with honesty, humility, and clarity.
Our conversations have always centred on what truly matters: building a values-driven culture, being a good human before a successful professional, learning with and trusting your team, valuing mentors and lifelong learning, staying positive in tough times, trusting your gut with relentless customer focus, and leading with passion, resilience, and the courage to take tough decisions.
Looking back, it’s humbling to reflect on the journey over the last four years—from mentorship sessions over Zoom, to learning from him in person during AIMA YLC member interactions, to being part of a panel moderated by him, and eventually having the honour of becoming the National Chairman of AIMA YLC.
His guidance, encouragement, blessings, and belief have meant more than words can express.
Grateful for your time, wisdom, and constant encouragement, Sir. It truly means a lot. 🙏
