It was a pleasure meeting my dear friend from Greece, dimosthenis manginas sir, Managing Partner at Manginas & Associates, along with Aditya Trivedi , Principal at Law Offices of Aditya Trivedi.

We had a very engaging discussion on the future of data protection, especially in the context of Europe and India.

Europe, through GDPR, has already shown the world that data privacy is not just a compliance requirement — it is a question of trust, accountability, and responsible growth.

India, with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, is now entering a very important phase where businesses, institutions, startups, platforms, and policymakers will all need to rethink how data is collected, processed, protected, and respected.

The way ahead is clear: data protection cannot remain only a legal conversation.

It has to become a business conversation, a technology conversation, a governance conversation, and most importantly, a trust conversation.
