I had the immense pleasure of meeting and interacting with Dr. Yolian Ivanov at the Horasis India Meeting in Greece, while representing Hyphen SCS and AIMA YLC.
I was inspired not only by his impressive career but most importantly his humbleness, kindness, respect, and energy.
Dr. Ivanov is currently the Executive Director – Southern Europe of The Collins Group, Canada, overseeing operations in Southern Europe, including Bulgaria.
His remarkable journey includes roles such as Director of the U.S. investment company Nova Capital, National Director of a Bulgarian State Agency, Manager of Fidelity Global Group and Euro Fidelity in Southeast Europe, and adviser to Bank of America in Bulgaria.
He has extensive experience in M&A deals on both the buy-side and sell-side, and has acted as an adviser in capital and investment matters to institutional investors since 1999.
His assignments with organizations like Schroders Investment Bank, Gabelli Mutual Funds in New York, the World Bank, and the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission in Washington, D.C., highlight his profound expertise.
Dr. Ivanov holds a Ph.D. from the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences and a Master’s degree as a power engineer from the Technical University in Sofia.
He has also completed postgraduate specializations at Central European University, Lancashire Business School, and Georgetown University – School of Foreign Service.
Recognized globally, he has been named to “Who’s Who in the World”, “Who’s Who in Finance and Industry”, “Who’s Who in 20th Century America”, and “World Outstanding Intellectuals of the 21st Century” by the Cambridge International Biographical Centre.
Meeting such a distinguished yet humble individual was truly inspiring.
