Interaction with Brij Bhushan co-founder Magicpin
It was a pleasure interacting with Brij Bhushan sir, co-founder at magicpin as part of the Velocity masterclass hosted by Vinay Kumar from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in association with Delhivery and Nexus Venture Partners
Some of the key learnings were :
– Monetization comes first, everything else is secondary
– The example of IndiaMART InterMESH Limited and their effective model
– Not compromising complex features on the pretext of simplicity of usage
– Main features can be upfront – one click
– Additional complex features can be there somewhere less upfront
– Avoiding the ” Free ” trap. Charging onboarding fees.
– Invest in training both the owners and the employees as high attrition can impact adoption
– In India cost of servicing is high. Need to keep it low via technology
– Investing in sales CRMs is a must to build a predictable revenue book
– Their experience in using open-source CRMs and building a product on it
– Actual revenue is accounted when it hits the bank and not when its billed
– You can’t change the world economically – Respect that.
We at Hyphen SCS are grateful for your time and, more importantly, your invaluable experiences and insights.
I am confident that it will help us become both better and faster in our pursuit of building India’s biggest and most referred warehousing and fulfillment platform.
