It was a pleasure interacting with Mayor William ( Bill) Kendrick of City of Dawson, Yukon, Canada while representing India and Hyphen SCS at the CSC2023 – The Duke of Edinburgh’s Commonwealth Study Conference – Canada 2023.
Dawson City, Yukon is the heart of the world-famous Klondike Gold Rush.
Unlike many politicians and diplomats throughout the world, he was not followed by a boatload of people, which is frequently interpreted as a display of authority and strength.
I was impressed by his modesty, honesty and humbleness. He was forthright about the positives while also being aware of the challenges.
