IIFT: 63 Years of Excellence Shaping Global Leaders

There are some institutions that don’t just give you a degree.

They quietly shape the way you think, the way you see the world, and the way you carry yourself long after you have left the campus.

For me, Indian Institute of Foreign Trade is one of those institutions.

As an alumnus, every time I look back at my IIFT journey, I don’t just remember classrooms, lectures, assignments, case studies, competitions, or late-night discussions.

I remember the energy of being surrounded by ambitious people who wanted to build, lead, question, learn, and contribute.

IIFT gave me more than knowledge of trade, business, and strategy.

It gave me perspective.

It taught me to think global while staying deeply rooted in India.

It taught me the value of discipline, relationships, resilience, and intellectual honesty.

Most importantly, it gave me the confidence to dream bigger and the courage to take the harder path.

Today, as the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade celebrates its 63rd Foundation Day, I feel a deep sense of gratitude and pride.

Gratitude for the faculty, seniors, batchmates, juniors, and the larger alumni community who made the journey so meaningful.

Pride in being part of an institution whose legacy continues to inspire leaders across business, policy, entrepreneurship, trade, and global impact.

63 years of excellence. A world of opportunities.
