Had the honor of meeting the extraordinary David MacDuff and being part of the same Yukon Study group at the CSC2023 – The Duke of Edinburgh’s Commonwealth Study Conference – Canada 2023.

Spent nearly three enlightening weeks with David, and it’s truly a privilege to know such an exceptional individual.

When I think of David, the words “pure class and elegance” immediately come to mind.

I have no doubt that one day he will be a premier or a high-profile diplomat.

Every action exudes self-drive, analytical prowess, and meticulous attention to detail.

David is not just well-read; he possesses a vast pool of knowledge across multiple domains, making every conversation a journey of enlightenment.

His approach to everything is characterized by a unique blend of passion and precision, leaving a lasting impression on everyone around him.

Beyond his professional excellence, I couldn’t help but admire David’s collection of cool eye frames – a testament to his distinctive style and personality.

Currently a distinguished career foreign service officer with the Department of Global Affairs of Canada, David holds the crucial position of Deputy Director of the Commonwealth and Francophonie Affairs Division.

His leadership plays a pivotal role in guiding Canada’s engagement with Commonwealth institutions, showcasing a deep commitment to international relations.

David’s expertise in Canada-U.S. and Canada-Asia relations, including a significant four-year posting in Singapore, speaks volumes about his dedication and skill in navigating complex diplomatic landscapes.

A Commonwealth Scholar at the University of Oxford, where he earned his MPhil in International Relations, David’s academic achievements further underscore his commitment to excellence.

On a personal note, discovering David’s love for Indian food was a delightful surprise.

I look forward to the day when we can embark on a foodie expedition in India together, creating memories over delicious meals. 🍛

In David, I see a future leader with qualities that set him apart.

Grateful for our connection and the opportunity to learn from his wealth of knowledge during our time in Canada.

Here’s to the future and more shared experiences! 🌟
