Honored to meet Rajashree ‘Raji’ Baskaran Ph.D. at the Indiaspora Forum for Good while representing Hyphen SCS and Young Leaders Council AIMA.

Her illustrious career in deep tech and AI is nothing short of inspiring, but what struck me the most was her deep commitment to giving back.
She has established a scholarship in her hometown in India that awards a girl child for the spirit of inquisitiveness—celebrating those who ask the most relevant questions, even if they don’t have all the answers. A powerful reminder that curiosity drives innovation!
Raji madam’s journey is a masterclass in blending technological excellence with purpose-driven leadership.
As the Founder & CEO of Project Karna, she is pioneering real-time deepfake detection to verify trust in the age of AI.
Previously, she founded Manifolds Lab, specializing in AI and sensor-enabled systems.
Her 15+ years at Intel Corporation spanned silicon R&D, wearables, AI/NLP, and enterprise products—earning her induction into SEMI’s Hall of Fame for contributions to human-machine interface technologies.
With 40+ patents, numerous research publications, and an affiliate professorship at the University of Washington, Seattle, her impact on the tech ecosystem is immense.
Beyond technology, she actively mentors and invests in high-growth startups across IoT, AI acceleration, and AgTech. As a Venture Partner at Social Impact Capital and advisor at Silicon Catalyst, she continues to shape the future of deep tech and innovation.
A true inspiration for those of us working at the intersection of technology and impact!
Looking forward to staying connected and learning more from her journey.
